Cha-An, My New Favourite Sweet Shop!

Yuji took me to this amazing japanese sweet shop in the East Village...
less than a block from my new apartment! Somehow without realizing
it, I found my new apartment in the middle of all my favourite places!
We had wonderful Genmai-cha (tea) and shared two amazing desserts...
black sesame crème brulée and a azuki mochi dish, my fav! It was so
great, I love japanese sweets SO much! I thnk I will live at this place!

Chinese Foot Massage!

My friend Yuji took me to this amazing foot massage spot in Chinatown.
We were so full from a dumpling dinner, so it was really relaxing....
I was all too lucky to get the top lady there, May, she was so good!
...sorry for the low-fi iPhone images, I broke my good camera =(

Marc Jacobs' Arabian Nights!!

I was lucky enough to get invited to the Marc Jacobs Holiday Party.
The theme was "Arabian Nights" and everyone had to dress up!
It was at the Rainbow Room and it was SO amazing! So many
amazing costumes! They had an open bar and amazing food,
and all kinds of live entertainment, topless dancers, girls
laying on knifes, and even midgets!

....more crazy costumes....

MJ, aka Marc Jacobs, aka Camel Toe!

Yes, the man himself was placed in the middle of the party dressed up
as a giant camel toe, holding a lovely anti "camel toe" sign, and a funny
giant hand to wave. He was so cute! Everyone took photos with him!

The MJ–SF Crew!

All my buddies from the Marc Jacobs store in San Francisco
were flown out for the party! It was great to see them there!
Tyson, Peter and Luke...and some other random cute gay boy!

underground this office building, total Chinese mafia feel
to it.... Cash Only.

Kingswood, for the West of Us!

Kingswood is a fairly new resto in the West Village, which has been
often compared to the forever loved Freemans of the Lower East side.
It's a cute and cozy interior with stuffed peacocks and butterflies
hanging off the ceiling! ...oh, and it's super yummy!

L'office N Y L O N

Nylon is in this beautiful buidling in the middle of Soho...
The location is so amazing, especially for quick luntime
dashes over to A.P.C....=) and the studio itself is fun
and creative!

Café Alessi!

I'm obsessed with this little coffee shop, actually called's Joe's...
located inside the Alessi shop in Soho. They make real italian
expresso, so I now stop in every morning before work, for a
caffe latte or cappuccino. Coral joined me for an afternoon
capuccino, since she works nearby!

Team Nylon!

Someone sent us a few of these rad custom jackets...
and Marvin was the first down to reprezent!

Dinner with Yoko!

Grand Snowfall

It wasn't SO grand... but it was experience while I was staying
a lovely three nights at a hotel in Tribeca... I woke up to see a haze
of white... very pretty and dreamy... I couldn't wait to get out and
play in the snow!

Saturday Night Fever!

Monika and I spent our Saturday night in my fancy hotel room, watching Travolta do his crazy dance moves...all about old New York! It was very fitting.

Light the Manolo Manorah!

In celebration of Hanukkah we all gathered around, while Karim said
a prayer in Hebrew and Dani (aka Factory Girl) lit the Manorah...which
of course was made of shoes!

Warming Up, Italian Style.

One of my favourite cafés is Falai, in NoLita. It's a great spot
with all the staff speaking in Italian, with good cappucinos,
tasty food and delicious sweets! It's space is small but super
modern, with a white tiled bar and hanging crystal candeliers.

A Stretched Cayenne!

Looks like the chinese mafia was rolling through Chinatown today.
So awesome... it took him a good 10 minutes to make that turn.

I Love Soup Dumplings!

This is one of my favourite place to eat in New York. It's called
Joe's Shanghai and it's hidden away on a tiny street in Chinatown.
My japanese friends introduced me to this place, japanese people
are obssessed with soup dumplings or "shoronpo" in japanese,
so I wanted to share the love with Monika and Kasha... and they
loved it too! The lineup was spilling out from the door when we
got there and we waiting i'd say about 40 minutes but it was SO
worth it...especially on a cold day like today... warm soup inside
each lovely dumpling! I can't wait to go back again!
(you will see it will be a re-occuring event)
